50 years is proof ......

We just celebrated my mom and dads 50th wedding anniversary last weekend. we've been planning this for months and it finally all came together....and i mean CAME TOGETHER! All of my brothers and sisters and i had an assignment and it's unbelievable how everything just worked out so perfectly! Mom and dad really had no idea. We just told them we wanted to take them to dinner and do family pictures (we had to give them a reason to get dressed up of course) After dinner we blindfolded them and told them we had one more surprise for them. Then we walked them over across the parking lot to the event center, pulled off the blindfolds and had 20 grandkids, 2 great grand kids and several guests that had already arrived scream SURPRISE! holy crap it was so fun to see the looks on their faces. We probably had close to 200 guests throughout the night. I am so grateful for my mom and dad. They have always been such an incredible example of how to love. can you believe these little guys are 68 and 71? jeez, they're so cute!

Halloween

It was so fun spending Halloween with all the cousins this year!

Just so you know this was not a dress up party. Cody and I just decided to show up to the Halloween pumpkin carving in these retarded outfits we pulled out of the costume box....We're so retarted! Doesn't Cody remind you of COUSIN EDDIE in Christmas Vacation??? and me? I don't know what the heck i am...LOL!

Rylee and the terrible, horrible no good very bad day!

Rylee had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad, yucky, icky, bad day yesterday! After lots of snuggles, cartoons, peppermint tea, bananas, sprite and soda crackers i think we're all on the up. crossing my fingers! i had to go to the grocery store and the post office yesterday and she soooo bad wanted to go (i think she wanted to get out of the house just as bad as i did) so i bundled her up for the ride. Coat, boots, gloves and all. She was being pretty whiney and wanting me to hold her while i was trying to get ready so i set her on the chair and told her to wait for just a minute while i ran downstairs to grab all my stuff. But when i came back up...she was OUT! So i un-bundled her, laid her on the couch and left her with grandpa while i ran my errands. She woke up 3 hours later just in time for a banana-cracker dinner!...and back to bed!
