50 years is proof ......

We just celebrated my mom and dads 50th wedding anniversary last weekend. we've been planning this for months and it finally all came together....and i mean CAME TOGETHER! All of my brothers and sisters and i had an assignment and it's unbelievable how everything just worked out so perfectly! Mom and dad really had no idea. We just told them we wanted to take them to dinner and do family pictures (we had to give them a reason to get dressed up of course) After dinner we blindfolded them and told them we had one more surprise for them. Then we walked them over across the parking lot to the event center, pulled off the blindfolds and had 20 grandkids, 2 great grand kids and several guests that had already arrived scream SURPRISE! holy crap it was so fun to see the looks on their faces. We probably had close to 200 guests throughout the night. I am so grateful for my mom and dad. They have always been such an incredible example of how to love. can you believe these little guys are 68 and 71? jeez, they're so cute!

Halloween

It was so fun spending Halloween with all the cousins this year!

Just so you know this was not a dress up party. Cody and I just decided to show up to the Halloween pumpkin carving in these retarded outfits we pulled out of the costume box....We're so retarted! Doesn't Cody remind you of COUSIN EDDIE in Christmas Vacation??? and me? I don't know what the heck i am...LOL!

Rylee and the terrible, horrible no good very bad day!

Rylee had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad, yucky, icky, bad day yesterday! After lots of snuggles, cartoons, peppermint tea, bananas, sprite and soda crackers i think we're all on the up. crossing my fingers! i had to go to the grocery store and the post office yesterday and she soooo bad wanted to go (i think she wanted to get out of the house just as bad as i did) so i bundled her up for the ride. Coat, boots, gloves and all. She was being pretty whiney and wanting me to hold her while i was trying to get ready so i set her on the chair and told her to wait for just a minute while i ran downstairs to grab all my stuff. But when i came back up...she was OUT! So i un-bundled her, laid her on the couch and left her with grandpa while i ran my errands. She woke up 3 hours later just in time for a banana-cracker dinner!...and back to bed!

made it!

WE MADE IT. Thanks to everyone who helped us get here. It's a little harder getting your whole life packed up in a big truck and moving to another state than the 15 to 20 minute moves across town that we're used to. It's taken me a good two weeks to feel functional again! Thus, the blogging sabbatical! I haven't even had my camera out for any of it, so sorry no pictures on this one.

** We celebrated Coles birthday on the Sunday after we got here. The poor kid, i felt like a neglectful parent, his birthday got a little overlooked this year because it was in the middle of the whole moving mess. Thanks to Ryan and Jocelyn, he actually got to open a present ON his birthday. Mom and dads presents came later.

** Cole loves hanging out with all his cousins. I watched Cole and Ethan walking back and forth between Grandpa's house and the Tomlinson's today and making a fort in Ethan's backyard and just hanging out playing silly video games and I love it!

** I love that everybody just looks out for each other here! Now i know what the term "it takes a town to raise a child" really means. I really feel it here!

** I asked Rylee tonight if she likes living here, she giggled and mumbled yes as she ran off with Peyton. She is quite happy being Allie Bell and Peyton's little shadow. Allie and Peyt are her cute little 8 year old cousins. She loves following them around doing all the girly things they do!

** I'm loving my new job. it's been really fun and entertaining working with Christy and Ben. It's inspiring me to pick up scrap booking again just seeing all the cute supplies pass through my hands everyday! Here's a link to check out all the cute kits at Scarlet Lime. Christy is an incredibly talented girl!

** I decided it was time for a new look so I went short and DARK. Had to find a new hair stylist, the joys of moving! Kinda scary cause ya never know what your gonna get the first time. I think i like her though. It's actually been fun to be short again, the big messy bun was getting old.

** TOTALLY sucks that BYU lost to TCU tonight! Losing after a 16 game winning streak really stinks! blah!

** Thank you mom and dad Campbell for letting us hang out in your basement for awhile!

** We're all getting really fat cause Grandma Campbell likes to cook really good food!

** Really missing all my Utah friends and family! xoxoxo

Here is my rapid attempt to catch up!

i just downloaded 872 pictures off my card!!! granted, A LOT of them were pictures taken by Cole and Rylee (they like to get a hold of the camera and take pictures of their feet, the ceiling fan, their toys, their mom when she's not looking her best...etc. etc. you know!) but still...872 PICTURES. It's been a really long time since i have taken the time to sit down and take care of picture/blogging business. Here is a rapid attempt. The sad thing is, there is still so much i feel like i have left out! I have been terrible at remembering to pull out the camera for all those kodak moments! I am re-committing!

Thank you Jocelyn...

...for taking me out on my birthday while my dear husband was out of town!

Cole's first day of Kindergarten

I only had to hold back the tears TWICE!

We visited Grandma and Grandpa on their mission

We made a trip by train to visit Grandma and Grandpa Hoggan on their mission to temple square. We kept telling them we were going to take the train but as soon as we got on and got settled Cole informed us that it wasn't REALLY a train. I think the words he used was "this is just a fake train". Oh well, it was entertaining anyways!

Rylee doesn't go anywhere without her purse!

how precious.. i love it when they hold hands! Doesn't Cole look thrilled! I don't even remember making them do this either!

neighborhood beauty parlor

We've got the cutest little group of kids in our neighborhood. The older girls set up a beauty parlor and invited everyone in the neighborhood. It was quite successful! They had it all, everything from manicures, pedicures, and facials, Cole even got a great massage!

Perry family campout

cute little (ok not so little anymore) nephew Coltyn

aunt becky got a hold of Cody's LONG hair! all the little girls thought it was so funny! especially when the braids came out!

even in the woods, Rylee is still a princess!

tough boys!

the community shower was very popular

don't even ask....it's a funny little game of how dubT we can be! it gets worse every year!
