We just celebrated my mom and dads 50th wedding anniversary last weekend. we've been planning this for months and it finally all came together....and i mean CAME TOGETHER! All of my brothers and sisters and i had an assignment and it's unbelievable how everything just worked out so perfectly! Mom and dad really had no idea. We just told them we wanted to take them to dinner and do family pictures (we had to give them a reason to get dressed up of course) After dinner we blindfolded them and told them we had one more surprise for them. Then we walked them over across the parking lot to the event center, pulled off the blindfolds and had 20 grandkids, 2 great grand kids and several guests that had already arrived scream SURPRISE! holy crap it was so fun to see the looks on their faces. We probably had close to 200 guests throughout the night. I am so grateful for my mom and dad. They have always been such an incredible example of how to love. can you believe these little guys are 68 and 71? jeez, they're so cute!

Loved all the pictures that night, mom and dad were so cute, especially the one with the plaid pants and the plaid socks. When are we gonna get copies of the family pix? I can't wait to see them. Fun party.
PS, before mom looks on your blog....she's only 68, not 70 :)
Okay How fun is that. I wish my parents were still together cause I think that would be alot of fun to plan a big 50th party.
